About this Painting

"Serenity" captures a quiet, contemplative moment in my astronaut narrative. This oil on gallery panel presents a figure at rest, a counterpoint to the tension and grief that drives much of the Dissolution series. The painting suggests a moment of peace within the ongoing emotional landscape of loss and regeneration that defines my work.

What drew me to Serenity from Shelli Langdale was the sense of both strength and femininity that comes through in the painting. I have spent most of my life working in a predominantly male field - seeing those two qualities expressed together feels very personal to me.

Dispatches from the Liminal Bathroom

A little art, a little science fiction, and a lot of internal monologue.
